Kindergarten Dual Immersion Informational Meeting
All parents of kindergarten students interested in the dual immersion program for first grade are welcome to come to this informational meeting. We will share information about dual immersion in general as well as at William Penn and be willing to answer any questions that you may have regarding the program or the lottery system. The meeting will be held in the library across from the front office.
If you live outside of William Penn boundaries and are interested in having your student(s) attend, please come by our office during the open enrollment period (now through February 19, 2016) to fill out the appropriate paperwork. All decisions will be made in March.
Dual Immersion Lottery
If you are the parent of a kindergarten student and are interested in having your child participate in the dual immersion program, please make sure that you apply for the lottery on the Granite School District website. All kindergarten students must apply for the program if interested. http://www.graniteschools.org/curriculuminstruction/dual-immersion/
Please send your children dressed appropriately for cold weather. We will have outdoor mornings and recesses for all students when the temperature is 20 degrees or warmer and on green air days and all students without health issues on yellow air days. All students will be kept inside when the temperature is colder than 20 degrees or if the air quality is red.
