My Fair Lady
November 3, 4, 5, and 7 @ 7:00pm
Adults $9, Students $7
Skyline High School is thrilled to be presenting Lerner and Loewe’s classic musical, My Fair Lady, opening November 3. Described by critics as “the perfect musical,” this show is the standard by which all other musicals are measured. Based on George Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalion, My Fair Lady is gloriously triumphant. The tale of a cockney flower girl transformed into an elegant lady features one of musical theatre’s greatest scores. Songs include “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?,” “With a Little Bit of Luck,” “The Rain in Spain,” “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “On the Street Where You Live,” “Get Me to the Church on Time,” and “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.”
Skyline’s production features the supremely talented Jenna Urry and Ben Engel as the lover-ly Miss Eliza Doolittle, and her irascible dialectician, Professor ‘enry ‘iggins. The school was also fortunate enough to secure another talented dialectician to coach the actors: Ms. Sarah Shippobotham, a professor in the U of U’s prestigious Actor Training Program, who recently completed work as a dialect coach for Peter Jackson’s Hobbit trilogy!
My Fair Lady plays November 3, 4, 5, and 7 at 7:00pm in the Skyline Auditorium. Tickets are $9 for adults and $7 for students, and available on skylinedrama.com. (Credit card sales are subject to a $0.50 per ticket processing fee online, and $1.00 per ticket fee at the box office.)
