South Kearns Elementary is located in central Kearns in Granite School District. It was built in 1955 to serve the growing population of Kearns, Utah. All students live within 1.5 miles and are able to walk to school. The school has 18 teaching stations and three relocatable classrooms. The school qualifies for the federal school wide Title I program and Head Start.

South Kearns Elementary serves approximately 400 students from kindergarten through sixth grade of various ethnic backgrounds.
Computers and Technology
The school has two computer labs using HP/PC equipment. Students spend 1 to 2 to hours per week in the computer labs studying word processing, graphics, and integrating curriculum into technology. Students participate in programmed instruction in reading and math with Success Maker.
Students promoted from this school will attend Kearns Junior High and Kearns High School.
Served each morning in the classroom during the first 15 minutes of the school day.
Kindergarten registration beginning in January for the following school year.
