What is Arts for All? Arts for All is a free ticketing program for select events at the Eccles Theater, including Broadway shows. To be eligible for these free tickets, recipients must hold a current SNAP card or qualify for free or reduced school lunch in the current school year.
Who is Arts for All? Arts for All is managed by the Eccles Theater and ArtTix and is funded by a $.50 fee on each ticket sold at the Eccles. All funds collected are reinvested into purchasing more tickets for shows. Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County own the Eccles Theater and the Salt Lake County Center for the Arts is the theater operator.
What are the shows? The first Broadway show is The Sound of Music, which runs February 27-March 4. Upcoming shows include Daniel Tiger, Hamilton, Riverdance, and Phantom of the Opera, among others.
How will tickets be distributed? Tickets will be distributed through a random drawing and will be available to those chosen on the day of the show. Arts for All has approximately 25 tickets to distribute for each performance; for a typical Broadway show with eight performances, that is 200 free tickets. The drawing will be conducted by Lucky Seat and ArtTix will distribute the tickets. Please note: the ticket vendor (luckyseat) is blocked on County computers because it is considered a gambling site.
The registration for The Sound of Music has been extended and the drawing will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, February 27 at 1 pm.
