Hello Viking Students and Parents/Guardians,
Registration Opened Today!
Remember our registration is completed on-line and all fees can be paid through the school webstore. Please visit our school website if you need instructions. https://schools.graniteschools.org/bonnevillejr/2021/07/09/registration-information/ Or visit the district website for “troubleshooting” information http://gsdparenthelp.weebly.com/
If you know of new students in our area, please encourage them to make an appointment with one of our counselors and get registered! If you need to meet with your counselors for any other concerns, please check their website for more information on how to connect. https://bonnevillecounseling.weebly.com/
I know the on-line system can be frustrating at times as the entire district is completing the same process. Please be patient and feel free to call the school if you need some assistance. We will do our best to help you complete the process and get your student registered.
School Begins Monday, August 16th at 7:45am
There are many concerns in the community right now as the number of COVID cases rise. Please know that our district leadership is working with local agencies to make the best decisions for our students. As of now, there is NOT a mask mandate. However, we will respect each person’s individual choice when it comes to mask wearing. Please make the best decision for your student and your family.
We will continue to follow safety and cleaning protocols at school. The building will not open until 7:30 AM, please plan accordingly. We will not be issuing lockers again this year and students will not be changing clothes for P.E. classes. Students will be allowed to carry a backpack with their personal school supplies. The building will be closed each day at 3:00 unless students are directly involved in an afterschool program with a teacher.
EVERY student will be issued a Chromebook the first week of school. Students will be required to use a school device while at school. The programs and software used in Granite District will only work on school-issued devices.
6th Grade Self-Guided Tours
Our school will be open on TUESDAY, AUGUST 10th from 1-3 PM AND THURSDAY, AUGUST 12TH from 5-7 PM for our incoming 6th grade students to come and take a “Self-Guided Tour” of the school. Teachers will NOT be available during this time. This opportunity is designed to help you get familiar with the school, find your classes, and feel a little more connected to our Viking Village.
During the registration process we encourage you to join our PTSA! Additionally, our PTSA is encouraging a “suggested activities donation” this year when you pay your school fees. This is completely OPTIONAL, but it will go 100% to our students! Megan Woodward is our amazing PTSA President this year and she is excited to be involved and help build our community at Bonneville! Megan’s e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org If you are interested in volunteering, becoming a community partner, or know of businesses that are willing to be involved and donate…PLEASE E-MAIL HER!
