The cafeteria hummed with holiday cheer as Kimberly Reale’s 8th grade FACS Exploration classes very successfully combined both their business savvy and cooking skills at the food truck extravaganza. The winner is the student with the most profit (revenue minus expenses). Stay tuned for the podium results! Students had to provide a business name, logo, slogan and food concepts. Lucky 7th graders received fake $$ to buy yummy Christmas drinks and sweets!
Thanks to all students at Churchill who auditioned for Beauty and the Beast! We had a terrific turnout with over 90 young aspiring actors and singers giving it their best. Rehearsals have started after school and the cast is amazing! A special thanks to parents who are already helping and to teachers Diane Taylor, Kim Reale and Tim Landis who have joined forces with Ms. Dahlgren this year to make this musical a hit! Ms. Page’s beginning dance class will be featured in the “Be Our Guest” number and the “Wolf Attack”. We look forward to working with them as well.
Any questions or concerns please email Ms. Dahlgren – PARENT VOLUNTEER ROUNDUP WILL BE HELD TUESDAY JANUARY 3RD FROM 4:45-5:30.
Twenty Chargers started the Thanksgiving holiday with our traditional 1 1/2 mile Turkey Trot. A fun and festive run was enjoyed by all! 8th grader Roman Franco nearly broke a 20 year school record with his 1st place finish in just over 8 minutes, and soccer phenom Zoe Garver won the girls race. Anja Cieslewicz and Aidan Jensen each won a frozen gobbler in the random drawing. Thanks to Dan’s Foods for their generous contribution of two of the turkeys.
