The Battle of the Books “Bob” program is a reading incentive program. Students are challenged to read as many books as possible from a specified list. Our students in grades 3-5 are invited to compete in a team. In order to qualify for a team, students must at least 6 books, from the competition list, by March 1st. EXTENDED to MARCH 10th! We introduced Bob last year and it was a huge hit with our 3-5th grade students. This year, we are inviting all grades to participate. Students in grades K-2 read from the junior list and can earn buttons and prizes, but will not compete. (3rd can choose to compete or read from the junior list)
Each time a student finishes a book, they will need to fill out a summary sheet, so we know they read the book. Students will turn these sheets in to a parent volunteer during their library time each week to receive a button for their Bob lanyard.
