Kindness Week Explanation VIDEO LINK: Tori explains everything in the video.
Kindness Color-In Poster: There is a large poster with a bunch of squares on it hung in the main entrance. Each act of kindness done from THIS LIST, counts for coloring in a single square. The first school to complete their poster gets a treat from the District. Student Government will give papers to Homeroom teachers to give to their students that are interested. The papers will have the list of kindness acts as well as THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
Cottonwood’s Kindness Paper Chain: Cottonwood will be making a kindness chain with strips of paper. Teachers will be given some colored paper to cut strips of paper for the chain. In homeroom students can write examples of kind things they can say to people around them. Or they can write kind things about each other and staple the strips of paper together in a paper chain. Student Government will pick them up on Thursday 5/15 to make one long chain.
Lunchtime Activities: There will be three activities at lunch to celebrate kindness.
–Tuesday 5/13: Musical chairs in the commons
-Wednesday 5/14: Games of lightning in the gym
-Thursday 5/15: Granite District is providing silicone (not latex) bracelets that promote kindness for students. Student Government will hand these out in the commons during lunch 5/15.
