Most importantly, students should know that undocumented students, with and without Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), can attend college in Utah! All students, regardless of their immigration status, are eligible for admission to any accredited college or university in Utah, whether public or private.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>General Support\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1v4P1lfUg6rxdHDeq6GNImRZHoYNEdd69mEFVzpcq_DM\/edit?usp=sharing\">Cottonwood DACA Resource Database (Google Document)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Utah Immigrant Advocacy Coalition \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.u-iac.com\/services-6-1\">Higher Education Resources<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>My Undocumented Life \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/mydocumentedlife.org\/category\/applying-to-college\/\">Applying to College<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Informed Immigrant \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.informedimmigrant.com\/resources\/undocumented-students\/applying-to-college-undocumented-student\/\">Applying to College as an Undocumented Student<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/hacu.net\/community-resource-center\/student-resources-for-daca-recipients-and-dreamers\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">Student Resources for DACA\/Dreamers<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Higher Ed Immigration Portal \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.higheredimmigrationportal.org\/states\/\">Higher Ed for Immigrants by State<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scholarships: while government identification in the form of a Social Security Number or A-Number is a requirement to receive state and federal aid, Utah high school graduates do not need to provide proof of citizenship to qualify for privately funded scholarships.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/immigrantsrising.org\/resource\/list-of-scholarships-and-fellowships\/\">Immigrants Rising<\/a> and the Immigrants Tab of <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1EeVtWjvQzhqaGlTqQs_KgcAHpNjJRTiLw-aJNpnEBV8\/edit?usp=sharing\">Granite Scholarships (Google Spreadsheet)<\/a> includes scholarships for immigrant (undocumented, DACA, non-FAFSA-eligible, etc.) students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In-State Tuition Waiver\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Utah\u2019s House Bill 144, passed in 2002, allows qualifying undocumented and DACAmented high school graduates to pay in-state tuition rates if they attend a Utah public college or university.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To qualify, students must have attended a Utah high school for 3+ years, graduated or earned a GED in Utah, and submit an affidavit stating they will adjust their immigration status as soon as eligible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SLCC Summer semester is also always the in-state rate. Taking classes at SLCC in the summer is more affordable for students who do not qualify for in-state tuition normally.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FAFSA Eligibility\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/understand-aid\/eligibility\/requirements\/non-us-citizens?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">FAFSA Eligibility for Non-U.S. Citizens<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mental Health<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are in crisis, come to the Counseling Center ASAP. Your counselor, school psychologist, or social worker can meet with you.
