Class change requests will NOT be accepted after Class Change Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Change procedures:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students can email counselors <strong>NOW until Friday, August 7<\/strong> to make class changes BEFORE school begins! We HIGHLY Recommend students make changes before school starts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Counselors will fill holes in person with students during the period a student has a hole the first 2 days of school &#8211; no unnecessary class changes at that time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make changes before school starts to avoid waiting in line during Class Change Day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How long does a change take?<\/strong> Our counselors are committed to processing changes as quickly as possible! However, please understand that some changes cannot be made and some cannot be done until school begins. Check your email as we will communicate with you as quickly as possible and your patience is greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Email your counselor BEFORE school starts if you want to make a change. Please note that <strong>class change requests will <\/strong><strong>NOT<\/strong><strong> be accepted<\/strong> after <strong>Friday, August 7,<\/strong> so we have time to get through all requests before school starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Review the schedule at a glance<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After you&#8217;ve reviewed your initial schedule on Focus, and if you find that you have a hole in your schedule or need a change take a look at the <strong>Schedule at a Glance<\/strong> in the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1vi5o8f-UmlVHzvz2S0_iKdMFtcd7LkdLU1iL9e8F_LQ\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Schedule at a Glance (Google Spreadsheet)<\/a> to help you identify a class to add during the hole in your schedule or an alternative class for your desired class period. The Schedule at a Glance provides a list of all available class options organized by department and period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Email your counselor<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you need to make a change, email your counselor <strong>BEFORE<\/strong> school starts and let her know what you want to change. Find your counselor&#8217;s email on the <a href=\"https:\/\/schools.graniteschools.org\/cottonwoodhigh\/directory\/counselors\/\">Counselors directory<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After school starts, if you still need a class change you MUST attend and make all changes on the <strong>Class Change Day, Friday, August 14, 2026.<\/strong> See the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canva.com\/design\/DAG3GOyhy9k\/h5ZQW63LfZJORUfcW4MKJw\/view?utm_content=DAG3GOyhy9k&amp;utm_campaign=designshare&amp;utm_medium=link2&amp;utm_source=uniquelinks&amp;utlId=hb9d517d50a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Class Change Day presentation (Canva)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">After school begins<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Changes AFTER the school year begins will ONLY be accepted on Friday, January 9 during the CLASS CHANGE Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First two days of the semester<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Wednesday, August 12 (A Day) &amp; Thursday, August 13 (B Day)<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students will attend <strong>all classes currently listed in Focus<\/strong> on both days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students <strong>without an assigned class during a period<\/strong> must report to the <strong>Counseling Center during that period only<\/strong> to fill the hole in their schedule.<br><strong><em>Students are not allowed to have a &#8220;free period&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Class Change Day<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Friday, August 14<\/strong> from <strong>11:45-2:10<\/strong> in the <strong>Main Gym.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students must have their class change request form completed before entering the main gym and can use the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1vi5o8f-UmlVHzvz2S0_iKdMFtcd7LkdLU1iL9e8F_LQ\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Schedule at a Glance (Google Spreadsheet)<\/a> to see which classes are offered, when they are offered, and who teaches them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All Class Change Day materials will be handed out in RTI on Wednesday and Thursday, with time in RTI to plan.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>See the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canva.com\/design\/DAG3GOyhy9k\/h5ZQW63LfZJORUfcW4MKJw\/view?utm_content=DAG3GOyhy9k&amp;utm_campaign=designshare&amp;utm_medium=link2&amp;utm_source=uniquelinks&amp;utlId=hb9d517d50a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Class Change Day presentation (Canva)<\/a> for more information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students who miss RTI may pick up materials in the Counseling Center before school, after school, or during lunch on Wednesday or Thursday.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No class changes will be made after August 14.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Class Change Instructions ALL class changes must be done BEFORE the semester starts OR on Class Change Day, August 14.
