We are in need of parents to chaperone students that are waiting for DIBELS testing. The two main responsibilities are: 1) keep students quiet in the hall as they patiently wait and 2) guide students in to testing when it is their turn. During our Back to School Night, classroom teachers will be explaining a little about what you can expect in that grade and class. These sessions are presentations which are important to hear from beginning to end, so we recommend that you arrive on-time and remain in the classroom for the entire presentation. Our PTA will be by the main office with volunteer sign ups, school t-shirt order forms, PTA information, and more. Be sure to visit them while you are here.

Safety during the Solar Eclipse:
We want to let you know that our superintendency has given us all guidance surrounding this once in a lifetime event. We have been assured that the glasses we have purchased meet the safety requirements. We will be holding activities surrounding this event to make it as educational and memorable as we possibly can for our students. Our teachers have been instructed to teach and model explicit safety and proper use of the glasses and will practice proper use with students. We will reiterate to all students, before we head outside, the importance to only look at the eclipse through the glasses and not try and “peek” without glasses on.
The district did send out an email earlier surrounding this event and parents do have the option to keep students home this day. The absence would be excused.
We are looking forward to sharing this event with our wonderful Crestview students.
The first day of school is going to be an eventful one! With the Eclipse happening, we have been encouraged to be sure to teach and participate in this, for some, once in a lifetime event. Therefore, we will be watching the Eclipse as a school. We have ordered glasses for every student. Due to our large student population, in order to ensure safety of our students and staff, this event will be just for our students and teachers. Thank you.
This year, as in past years, we will not be posting class lists. This is a privacy concern and we want to ensure that all student information is kept confidential. Teacher assignment is posted on student registration cards. You will find out who the assigned teacher is when you register at the school. We will not be releasing teacher assignments via email or over the phone. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in coming to the school to complete the registration process and find who your teacher is.
Did you miss our school registration day? No worries! Please come to the school as soon as you can between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday, and we will take care of you. The sooner, the better. We are working on finalizing our numbers and ensuring we are fully staffed for the new school year. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Mark your calendars and don’t miss our REGISTRATION DAY on Thursday, August 3rd from 8:00-12:00. Please enter through our gym doors from the east parking lot. All students, new and returning, must register in person. If you can’t make it this day, plan on visiting the school office as soon as possible, after August 3rd, between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Note: Parents/Guardians must register their own child(ren). We cannot have neighbors/friends register for you.
