Hello Eastwood Families –
We need your help with the following:
Art Night at Eastwood – Tonight: We will begin at 4:30 with a performance by our band and orchestra. Then you will have the opportunity to check out all the art created by our kids, participate in creating your own art and meet the new principal. You may have to chose between all the projects as there will be quite a few. We also need some help cleaning up from 6:00-6:30 PM. If you are available and willing, please do so! We will be selling “weeded” library books tonight. Hard back books will sell for $.50 and paper backs will sell for $.10. We cannot accept cards and may not have change available.
Fun Run – May 11 our PTA is looking for volunteers to help with Fun Run on Wednesday, May 11th, 9:00-10:30 K-2nd, 1:30-3:00 3rd-5th. Students and parents are invited to dress up and display their inner superhero

Lunch choices – due to a variety of factors, including supply chain issues, we do not always have the amount and kind of selections that our kiddos are used to. Pease be aware that the menu changes, sometimes at the last minute. This could include only one choice for the main course. Additionally, some days we do not have milk or juice but we always have water available.
Please keep your kiddos at home if they are ill. We have had an increase of COVID 19 cases over the last 2 weeks. If your children are exposed, please have them tested and share that information with us. Remember – the county is recommending 5 days in quarantine after an exposure to a positive person and 5 days of quarantine for those with a positive test.
Birthday Party Invitations: Please, please, please do not send birthday party invitations to school for your child to distribute and do not send them to the teacher to distribute. Please take care of that away from school. When some kids get invited and others do not, we have lots of broken hearts in the kids who do not get invited. Even if your child invites everyone in their class, there are still others who are not invited.
Thanks for being part of our Eastwood Family, Naomi Hopf – principal
