Dear Eastwood Community,
It has been a true honor and pleasure to serve as your principal for the past three years. Eastwood Elementary is a gem of a school that holds a special place in my heart. It is with mixed emotions that I share with you that during last night’s Granite School District School Board meeting, I was appointed as the Associate Directory of Literacy beginning July 1, 2025.
I have been fortunate to work with amazing educators who care deeply for our students, with passionate parents and families who support their children’s education, and with students who have incredible talents. It has truly been a privilege. I am thankful for the relationships built and the inspiring work that takes place every day. Know that I am committed to continuing this great work and finishing the year strong.
Please do not think that this change has any relation to the boundary study. The timing is purely coincidental. District personnel are aware of our unique needs at Eastwood and I trust that they will do everything they can to find someone that will support our school through this process. I anticipate that my replacement will be announced at the April Board meeting.
I want to express my sincere thanks to you for your commitment to education and for your support during my tenure here. Eastwood is an exceptional school because of you!
