Hello Eastwood Families!

Art Night is just around the corner! Mark your calendars, if you haven’t already, for Thursday, March 27th from 5-7. We are still in need of many volunteers to make Art Night go smoothly. Please take a look at the link below and sign up for one time slot if you haven’t already.

Sign up for Art Night here!

Tomorrow Mad Science will be visiting the school for some exciting science assemblies for your kids! Make sure to ask them what they learned, and what their favorite part was. Thanks for funding PTA so we can provide enriching experiences for all the children! Eastwood is the best!

There will be a PTA meeting on Wednesday, April 2nd at 2:00 PM. We will begin discussing end of year fun, like Field Day, teacher appreciation and Dance Fest, as well as making sure we have all needed positions filled for next year. We still need a president and president elect for next school year. The president elect is someone who works alongside the president and takes over as president the following school year. We also need additional support on the following committees: Halloween parade, Science Fair, STEM Fest, Memory Book, PTA Fundraiser and Reflections. If you value one of these programs and don’t want to see it cut, volunteer to plan it. If we do not have a committee chair to plan an event, it will not happen. There is no experience necessary to do any of this. We are all learning making it up as we go here. None of us are experts at any of this, I promise. There is also no reason to be available during the school day for most of these positions. You can plan and coordinate events remotely at your convenience if you work full time. Most of the parents who are helping immensely actually do work full time outside the home or run their own businesses. You are also always more than welcome to bring younger siblings to meetings and events, it’s a school, we love kids! Send an email before the April 2nd meeting if you are willing to help out.

One last thing to be aware of, Maturation is coming up on April 3rd!

Sincerely,

Sarah Gorka

PTA President
