Dear Eastwood Families and Community,
I am thrilled to welcome you to a new school year at Eastwood Elementary—one of the most vibrant and cherished schools in the Granite School District. It is a true honor to serve as your principal and to work alongside such dedicated educators, involved families, and exceptional students.
A native of Utah, I bring with me 20 years of administrative experience, having previously served as the principal of Plymouth and Arcadia Elementary Schools. I’m passionate about helping students and teachers reach their full potential and believe deeply that all children can learn, grow, and succeed.
Before stepping into educational leadership, I enjoyed a career as a professional opera singer with the Utah Opera. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Italian Language and Literature with a minor in Music from Brigham Young University, a master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Utah, and a master’s in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. I’ve had the privilege of living in places across the country—from New York to Boston, Los Angeles to Wyoming—and served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Milan, Italy.
Throughout my career in education, I’ve taught K–6 elementary music and secondary-level Italian, Drama, and Choir, and I’ve directed numerous musicals. I believe wholeheartedly that the arts are essential in developing well-rounded, confident, and expressive students. Here at Eastwood—a Gold-certified STEM school with a strong tradition in both academics and the arts—I’m committed to maintaining and building upon that foundation of excellence.
I specialize in behavior management and in coaching teachers to refine and strengthen their instructional practices. I am a lifelong learner, approaching each day with humility and a desire to grow. My personal mantra is, “We can work through most things,” and I strive to model resilience, collaboration, and kindness in everything I do.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my close-knit family, including my wonderful siblings and our amazing 86-year-old mother. I’m currently single, but my family is at the heart of my life, and their support means the world to me.
As we look ahead to a fantastic year, I want you to know how committed I am to ensuring every student at Eastwood receives a high-quality education in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. I’m looking forward to getting to know each of you and working together to support the success of our students.
Thank you for welcoming me into the Eastwood community. Let’s make this a year full of growth, joy, and continued excellence.
Warmly,
