Starting Monday, February 25th, your child will be participating in a four week literacy challenge to earn a class pizza party.
Students in grades kindergarten through fifth will be focusing on using a computer reading program called Lexia. The program recommends how many minutes your child should complete each week. Classes that have at least 80% of students completing their recommended usage will earn a pizza party. You can help at home by having your child log on and work on their customized lesson. You will need the teacher’s email and your child’s username and password.
Students in sixth grade will be focusing on reading and logging minutes on Road to Success. Each class will be expected to read 10,000 minutes during the four week contest. That breaks down to about 100 minutes each week per student. Please encourage your child to read at home to help meet this goal.
