Counselor Check Ins– Students can schedule appointments with their Counselor at any time. The counseling center is located in the main office. Students will check in with Mrs. Thompson and either meet with their Counselor right away or fill out an appointment slip to be called down later. Counselors provide academic and social emotional support. We also answer all scheduling questions and schedule change requests.
School Psychologist/Social Worker Support– Evergreen Junior High has a part-time School Psychologist and Social Worker that provide support to students. Parents need to sign a Counseling Permission Form in order for their student to receive counseling support.
Check & Connect Mentor– Evergreen Junior High has a mentor that provides one-on-one academic support to students. Our mentor, Maria Carrizo, checks in with students weekly and helps them with homework. Students that wish to participate in our check and connect mentoring program will need to check in with their school counselor first.
