This plan is data-driven, evidence-based, and responsive to findings from data reviews, needs assessment findings, and stakeholder input. The school comprehensive Title I plan articulates how evidence-based strategies, action steps and milestones will support the goals listed below.<\/p><h3>Goal One<\/h3><p><b>RISE and Acadience Achievement: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3rd - 5th grades students\\' average test performance on the 2026 RISE will increase by 3% in proficiency rates in reading, math, and, science. Kg - 5th grade, students\\' proficiency rates on the Acadience Math and Acadience Reading\/NWEA MAP EOY will increase by 5%.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Goal Two<\/h3><p><b>Sense of Belonging and Behavior<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:By the end of the 2025-2026 school year, the percentage of students that report they feel a sense of belonging at school will increase by 2% (from 59% to 61%) on the Panorama survey and show a 15% decrease in office referrals (serious behavior issues) from the previous year (480 to 408).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Goal Three<\/h3><p><b>Forming Effective Professional Learning Communities: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">50% of PLC learning will be focused on purposeful instructional planning (ATSI 4 categories) for Tier 1 instruction focused on standards, objectives, and success criteria. This designation means that these student populations scores among the lowest-performing five percent in Utah\u2019s Title I schools in academic performance and growth.\u00a0 Philo T. Farnsworth has also been designated as a Targeted Comprehensive Support and Improvement school for students with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>The program improvement designation provides an opportunity for principals, teachers, and parents to focus on areas of school improvement. The Granite School District and the Utah State Board of Education are working with our school to improve teaching and learning, especially in the areas of reading and mathematics by providing technical assistance and professional development opportunities to the teachers and administrators within our school.<\/p>\n<p>Philo T Farnsworth Elementary is working to improve its academic program by undergoing a rigorous school improvement effort led by a school system of support team. We are focusing on teacher clarity in our instruction, utilizing social and emotional learning opportunities with all of our students, and creating effective learning strategies for all of our students. We utilize Positive Behavior Intervention System rewards.
