Frost Families,
The after-school program will begin on Tuesday, September 13. Please review the information below. Currently, we are not accepting new applications. Our next application window will open in early January.
School Expectation
- Participation in the After School Program is a privilege. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior is reason for dismissal.
- Attendance will be taken during the classes and activities.
- Your child will be supervised from 4:00 PM- 5:30 (Tuesday & Wednesday)
- After 5:30 PM, there will be no adult supervision.
Parent Guardian Expectation
- Your child will be supervised from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM Tuesday & Wednesday. Please remain in your car at pick-up; your child will walk out to you at dismissal. If a parent or guardian fails to pick up their child on time on two consecutive days or three times each semester, the student will be withdrawn from the program. The school has the right to withdraw a student from the program if timely pick-up becomes an issue.
- A parent or guardian will be called to pick up a sick or injured child. Medicine will not be administered without written permission from the parent or legal guardian.
Attendance Expectations
- All students enrolled in the after-school program must attend all classes regularly and promptly for which they are scheduled.
- If a student misses 5 days, he/she will be withdrawn from the program unless he/she provides a valid written excuse from a parent.
- If your child is absent from school, they are not allowed to attend the after-school program on the same day of the absence.
Discipline Policy
The discipline policy aims to facilitate a positive after-school climate where each student feels safe and secure, where parents are kept informed of their child’s behavior and encouraged to support the program’s decisions, and where all students are provided with opportunities to grow academically and behaviorally. Rules and regulations outlined in Granite School Districts’ student conduct policy will be applied to the After-School Program and all students enrolled are expected to obey them. If a student fails to do so the first time, the parent will be informed, and the student will get a warning. If a second discipline action occurs, the student will be withdrawn from the After-School Program.
