Dear Granite Park families,
This week’s message focuses exclusively on our upcoming Veterans Day production. Each year, our students do a wonderful job in honoring veterans in our community. This year… we need your help!
If you have veterans in your family, or know of veterans who have served our country, please consider inviting them to attend our special assembly this coming Monday on November 11th. The assembly will start at 10:15, but patrons are encouraged to arrive early to see displays and get their seating in advance.
In an additional way to honor the veterans in attendance, we will be encouraging students and teachers to dress a bit nicer than they normally would that day. A text will be sent this Friday to remind you of this assembly and the encouraged student attire.
Lastly, we have received many photos of students’ family members who have served in the military. These will be returned next week. If you would like your student to be involved in our special “Thank you, veterans” video, please have them bring their photos tomorrow and return them to either their den teacher or to the main office.
Thank you families. I hope to be able to see you next Monday at our veterans assembly. All families are welcome, even if they do not have a family member who fought for freedom.
Best,
Aaron Wilson
