Understanding GED Prep and GED Advanced<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Student placement is determined by CASAS assessment scores to ensure each student receives the level of instruction and support that best meets their needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Placement Works<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

All students complete a CASAS assessment during enrollment. Based on assessment results, students are placed into either GED Prep<\/strong> or GED Advanced<\/strong> to ensure they receive the instruction and support that best matches their current skill level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our goal is to help every student build skills, make progress, and successfully earn their GED. 🎓📚<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed for students who need additional instruction and skill-building before taking the GED test.<\/td>Designed for students who demonstrate higher academic readiness based on CASAS assessment results.<\/td><\/tr>
Typically serves students with CASAS placement levels 1-3<\/strong>.<\/td>Typically serves students with CASAS placement levels 4-6<\/strong>.<\/td><\/tr>
Focuses on strengthening foundational academic skills.<\/td>Focuses on GED test preparation and readiness.<\/td><\/tr>

    • Proof of Utah Residency<\/strong> Examples: Utah ID, Utah Driver\u2019s License, or a bill\/mail showing your name and Utah address<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Photo ID<\/strong> Any government-issued ID with your photo<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Social Security Number, Alien ID, or Driving Privilege Card<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • High School Exemption Form<\/strong> Only if your high school class hasn\u2019t graduated yet<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Refugee Documentation<\/strong> If you\u2019re a refugee, bring proof such as an I-94 or a letter from DWS<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • DWS Referral Form<\/strong> If you\u2019ve been referred by DWS, please bring the referral form<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
