The hard work of our very own Julie Sommers, custodian, has earned the Jones Center a Platinum Medallion award from the district for “An Achievement of Team Excellence in Building Maintenance & Cleanliness.” While all of our staff and students make wonderful contributions to the cleanliness of our facilities in their conscientiousness every day, our custodian Julie brought it home with her absolute fastidiousness. Her eye for the details never rests.
Our STS Aaron Kammerman remarked “She works very quickly and efficiently. She doesn’t mess around, when she’s doing a job, she’s doing a job.”
Norma Asplund, secretary, and Linda Liebmann, principal’s secretary, both said that Julie “Impresses me every day.”
There’s certainly consensus about Julie’s work ethic and results. Since being awarded the Platinum Medallion, the Jones Center also went under a surprise inspection and earned the highest marks possible. If you see her around, tell her thank you!
