Dear Parents and Students,
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRETY OF THIS MESSAGE FOR SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION.
I hope that everyone had a nice and relaxing Spring Break and I hope that everyone is staying safe and practicing good hygiene during the school dismissal we are presently in. Please email me with any questions you may have as I will be out of the office.
If you have not heard by now, school will remain in a dismissal state until May 1, 2020 at which point the authorities will reevaluate the conditions. However, just because we are not meeting in a classroom does not mean you get an extended Spring Break. We will simply be changing the delivery method for school work. I am currently organizing and planning content that will be disseminated and accessible online. I would like to connect with each student at least 1 time per week and I believe we can make this work. I will be using “Meet”, a Google platform for meeting remotely. During our 1:1 meetings you should expect a check in to see how you are doing and a brief lesson. To access “Meet”, I will simply send you an email to the email address you provided me earlier in the year. Open the email 5 minutes before our designated day and time and select “Join”. I will try to make it on time but if I am caught in another meeting please be patient and wait until I get there. Then we will be able to see and hear each other. You will need a computer or phone with a camera and a microphone. This should allow us to continue with some goals and stay connected. If you need help with this in any manner let me know.
The second method for you to engage in the class is to use “Google Classroom” on your own time. Here you can access a variety of lessons and materials with new content available each week. Again you will receive an email inviting you to join the class. Simply join the class and select your role as the “student”. Post High staff will be posting materials that you can review in the comfort of your own home. If you are asked to enter a code for the classroom, the code is 6o2o5zc.
I know this is a stressful time but some semblance of normalcy will be helpful until we can get back into the classroom and back into our routine.
At the bottom of the page I have included links to important agencies that you might be interested in.
Please familiarize yourself with the Post High R.O.C.K.S. expectations. We will be reviewing these expectations regularly and rewarding students for demonstrating them in a variety of locations both on campus and in the community. Please consider ways to incorporate these expectations at home.
R = Responsible
O = Optimistic
C = Confident

As always, if you have any questions, please call or email me. I ask that you allow me 24 hours to respond. You can also check out the Post High Facebook page to keep up to date on some fun and important things.
