Welcome Back! Summer flew by too quickly but it is good to be back in the rhythm and routine of the school year. We have added a new classroom this year for Post High students and are starting the year with approximately 200 students! We are delighted to have incredible, passionate, well-trained and dedicated staff to work with your children.
We celebrated the beginning of school last week with a “Welcome Back Beach Week”. Activities were planned so students could participate, have fun and get used to their schedules again.
Please be assured that our administration and staff continue to put an emphasis on maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for your children. Our focus in working with your students is on building healthy relationships to facilitate a culture that provides the emotional, psychological, and physical safety. Along with building a strong, positive culture we are reviewing all of our academic curriculum and how students are making progress on their goals.
To keep our building safe, all doors, except the main office are secured throughout the day. Please enter the school only through the main entrance doors that face south. All visitors must check in at the office to receive a guest badge so that staff knows you have checked in. If you are bringing your child to school later, you need to step into the office and sign our log before taking them to class. The secretaries will give you a visitor pass at that time. Thanks for helping keep our building secure.
I have a few other reminders for you:
- Please send diapers and wipes for your student if needed.
- Please send shampoo and conditioner to be used after your child swims.
- If an afterschool program is picking up your child, please contact the school with that information.
- If you need to call the school, please call (385) 646-4585. If we miss your call, we will get your message on this line.
We are looking forward to having a GREAT year!!! Please call me if you have any questions or concerns.
