Get to know our new Hunter administrators!
My name is Megan Madsen, and I am thrilled to be the new Principal at Hunter Elementary School. I am local to Utah, and grew up right here in West Valley city. I graduated from Hunter High School and love being back in the Hunter community.
I completed my education at the University of Utah earning a degree in Elementary Education and later earned a Master’s Degree in Education and Mathematics at Southern Utah University. As an educator I have taught 6th grade, 2nd grade, and Kindergarten and have experience in both elementary and secondary administration.
I could not be happier to be a part of the Hunter family and I believe that together we help all students achieve and grow.
My name is Angie Rasmussen, and I am the new Assistant Principal at Hunter Elementary School. I grew up in Utah and graduated from Murray High School. Afterwards, I completed a bachelor’s degree from University of Utah. Later I accomplished a Master’s in School Counseling. I have a wonderful husband and two boys, one in 9th grade and one in 3rd grade. We also have two, large, 4-year-old sheepadoodle dogs (Old English Sheep Dog and Stand Poodle Mix). As you might guess, I am a dog lover! I started with Granite in 2008 in School Counseling. I have worked with all ages of students from preschool to adult education. We moved as a family, back to my husband’s home state of North Dakota for five years, where I obtained an endorsement in early childhood education. I love traveling, camping, and watching sports, especially football and watching my son play baseball. I am very excited to work with your students and community and I know this will be a great year!
