Program Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
At Wolverine Cubs, children build early academic skills and the social, emotional, physical, and independence skills they need for school. They learn through play, relationships, routines, conversation, movement, and hands-on experiences. Our goal is to give every child a strong, joyful foundation for school and lifelong learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wolverine Cubs is also a preschool laboratory program, giving high school students studying Early Childhood Education the opportunity to learn alongside our preschoolers as teachers-in-training. Under the direction and supervision of our preschool teachers, high school students help plan and lead engaging learning experiences, interact and play with children, and practice developmentally appropriate teaching skills. Our preschool teachers guide the classroom and curriculum while our teachers-in-training provide additional support, interaction, and encouragement throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This unique partnership creates a rich learning environment where preschoolers benefit from caring relationships, engaging experiences, and many opportunities for individual attention\u2014while future educators gain meaningful, hands-on experience working with young children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
