Jazz Band

Come join the Jazz Band if you play a musical instrument. We meet before school at 7AM on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s in room 117. Contact Ms. Hancock for any questions.

School Musical

Every year we do a school musical that students can tryout for. All students are welcome to tryout for acting parts which usually happens in December. The shows are usually in February. This year we will be performing the musical “Seussical the Musical Jr.” and the show dates are February 26-28 with showtime at 6:30pm.

Newspaper Club

We aim to spark curiosity and inspire a love for reading by creating an interactive online hub filled with writing contests, art contests, poetry, short stories, school sport updates and thought-provoking articles. All written and produced by students for students.   The Newspaper Club meets on Thursdays from 3-4pm in room 108.

Art Club

Students come to freely express themselves through different art mediums and methods. The Hunter Jr High Art Club meets every Wednesday from 3:00-4:00 pm in room 121. For more information about the club, please contact Ms. McCluskey.

After School Homework Help

Homework club is after school from 3-4 pm in the Media Center every week Monday-Thursday. There are two teachers available everyday to help students with class work. The Hunter Jr High Dungeon & Dragons Club meets every Monday from 3:00-4:00 pm in room 124. For more information about the club, please contact Ms Garff.

MESA Club

The Math, Engineering, and Science Club meets every Thursday from 3:00-4:00 pm in room 204. For any questions about the MESA Club, please contact Ms. Lange. MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement) is nationally recognized for its innovative and effective academic development program. MESA engages students so they excel in math and science.

Minecraft Club

The Hunter Jr Minecraft Club welcomes all students to come play Minecraft in a computer lab. Students can create their own worlds, share worlds with other students, and get help on how to play Minecraft from a teacher and also their peers. Our E-Sports Club meets every Tuesday from 3:-4:00 pm. Students get together to play Super Smash and Mario Cart on the Nintendo Switch.
