The focus of Title I schools is to help students achieve proficiency on core standards, closing academic gaps that may exist. These efforts include providing targeted supports to at-risk students, building teachers' capacity through professional development, and strengthening parents' abilities in helping their children succeed.<\/p>\n\n \n

Attend scheduled conferences, contact school with concerns, volunteer, participate in Big 3 family nights.<\/p>\n
Send home notes and reminders via ClassDojo. Return phone calls within 24 hours. Be available to meet in person at an agreed upon time, even after contract hours if necessary.<\/p>\n
Send home notes and flyers every Thursday. Update website weekly. Hold SEP Conference during the first semester on September 16th and 17th and during the second semester February 11th and 12th.<\/p>\n

Teach my child to respect others, follow rules, and take responsibility for their own learning and actions.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with parents\/guardians on the specific needs of each child. Provide reasonable accommodations and modifications. Embed Social-Emotional Learning into every lesson.<\/p>\n
Provide opportunities for parents to volunteer, observe, and participate in decision making through collaboration with the School Community Council, PTA, and the Community Center.<\/p>\n
Read 20 minutes every night or ask a parent or sibling to read to you.<\/p>\n
Read with my child and\/or ask questions related to reading. Use iReady Math at home.<\/p>\n
Provide daily differentiated reading and math instruction in a small group setting. Provide interventions and extensions in math and reading with the support of specialists and paraeducators during flex time.<\/p>\n
Create a multi-disciplinary team (administration, teachers, reading coach, psychologist, social worker, etc.) that meets weekly to design and implement interventions for students needing additional instruction\/support.<\/p>\n
Make and keep learning goals with my teacher. Always do my best work. Re-take assessments as much as needed.<\/p>\n
Monitor progress on gradebook. Promote healthy study habits and development which includes unstructured play.<\/p>\n
Update gradebook weekly. Create common assessments to measure all four levels of proficiency. Provide opportunities for students to authentically demonstrate proficiency.<\/p>\n
Analyze and share student outcome data with all stakeholders. Use data to guide decisions regarding school improvement and future financial investments\/spending.<\/p>\nBack to Index<\/a> Parents are provided information regarding the school programs via ClassDojo, email, the school\\'s marquee and website, and notes that are sent home periodically with their students.<\/p>\n Parents are provided with information about the school\\'s curriculum, assessments, and proficiency level expectations via report cards which are sent home four times a year and SEP conferences which are held twice a year.<\/p>\n Parents have opportunities to share suggestions, participate in decision making, and respond to any suggestions via Monthly School Community Council and PTA meetings and annual stakeholder feedback surveys.
