Here are some facts about me and why I am so proud to serve as the Principal of Kearns High School.
- I am a former Kearns Junior and Kearns High School student.
- I grew up on Sarah Jane Drive.
- I have spent over 20 years total at Kearns High as student, coach, teacher, and principal.
- I graduated from Kearns High School in 1989.
- I coached boys basketball for Kearns High from 1992-2005.
- I attended Salt Lake Community College.
- I graduated from University of Utah in 2000 with Bachelors of Science in Education, Health Major, History Minor.
- I taught World Studies, U.S. History, Government, and Japanese at Kearns High School for six years.
- I graduated from University of Utah in 2006 with Masters Degree in Educational Leadership.
- I served as assistant principal at Brockbank Junior, Eisenhower Junior, Granite High School, and Skyline High School – eight years all total.
- I served as principal of Granite Park Junior High for four years.
- I served as School Leadership and Principal Director for Granite School District for four years.
- I was the Granite Administrator Principal of the Year 2014-2015.
- I received the Granite Education Foundation Excel Principal of the Year 2016-2017.
- I am passionate about the Kearns Community, and Kearns High.
- I am a Cougar for Life.

KHS Bell Schedule (Google Presentation)
Kearns High School follows one of the bell schedules below depending on the day. The regular schedule runs Monday through Thursday, with a shorter, late-start schedule on most Fridays. On days with a school assembly, an assembly schedule replaces the Friday schedule instead.

Bus Information
Track Your Bus from Your Smartphone
If you’re interested in obtaining a bus schedule, you need to contact the school or by using the Here Comes The Bus application.

Parents and students can now track their Granite School District bus on the Here Comes the Bus app, available on The App Store and Google Play.
This app shows the real-time location of your bus on a map, gives scheduled and actual arrival times for both home and school routes, and provides push and email notifications when the bus is near.
Here’s how to sign up:
- Download the Here Comes the Bus app from The App Store or Google Play.
- Tap Sign Up, then tap Continue.
- Tap I have the Code.
- Enter your email address, first name, last name, and school district code (29318). Accept the Terms and Conditions and tap Continue.
- Tap Confirm if Granite School District is displayed.
- Create your password.
- If successful, you will see a Thank You screen. From here, check your email inbox for a message from noreply@synovia.com. Open the email and click Activate My Account. Once completed, close the browser link. You may now open the app and sign in with your email address and newly created password.
Adding a Student:
- Once you’re signed in, tap the Student icon.
- Tap the Add Student button and enter their last name and student ID. Tap Submit.
- Repeat this process for additional students.
