Please read all Registration instructions as some things have changed for 2026-27.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This registration is for students who attended one of the following schools last year:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kearns Junior High<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fox Hills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>David Gourley<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>South Kearns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>West Kearns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Western Hills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Online Registration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Registration for the 2026-2027 school year will open on July 31, 2026 through the Granite School District <a href=\"https:\/\/graniteschools.focusschoolsoftware.com\/focus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Parent Portal<\/a>. All necessary forms including the Fee Waiver are online. You will need your students school ID number. Instructions for <a href=\"https:\/\/schools.graniteschools.org\/kearnsjr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/98\/2023\/07\/Online-Registration-Re-enrollment.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Online Registration (PDF)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instructions for the <a href=\"https:\/\/schools.graniteschools.org\/kearnsjr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/98\/2023\/07\/Create-Parent-Portal-V2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FOCUS Parent Portal (PDF)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instructions for the <a href=\"https:\/\/schools.graniteschools.org\/kearnsjr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/98\/2023\/07\/Community-App_Flyer.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FOCUS Parent Portal APP (PDF)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you will be applying for a Fee Waiver, it must be submitted within the first 30 days of the new school year to be considered. Instructions for submitting a <a href=\"https:\/\/schools.graniteschools.org\/kearnsjr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/98\/2023\/07\/Fee-Waiver-Instructions-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fee Waiver (PDF)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/paypams.com\/OnlineApp.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Free &amp; Reduced lunch<\/strong><\/a> is not included with the Fee Waiver. Families are encouraged to apply for Free &amp; Reduced meals. Applications must be submitted yearly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kearns Jr. will be hosting an <strong>Immunization Clinic for KJH students only<\/strong> on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 10:00 AM \u2013 2:00 PM. <strong>We ask that only the student and one adult be present.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For students who are new to the area<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enrollment and registration will be done in person with the Counseling Center. To schedule an appointment please call <a href=\"tel:+13856465208\">385-646-5208<\/a> beginning July 31, 2026. Please use the <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.graniteschools.org\/schoolsearch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>School Search map<\/strong><\/a> to verify that your address is within our school boundaries. Granite School District and Utah State Law require that you present these personal records for enrollment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A current utility bill or Mortgage\/Lease Agreement establishing your <strong>proof of residence<\/strong> within the school boundaries (no cell phone bills).\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If the proof of residence is not in the name of the legal guardian of the student, you must complete the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/schools.graniteschools.org\/kearnsjr\/affirmation-of-residence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Affirmation of Residence<\/strong><\/a>\u201d form with a notary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not required for those attending on an approved <a href=\"https:\/\/www.graniteschools.org\/psp\/open-enrollment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Open-Enrollment Permit<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Birth Certificate\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SL County Birth Certificate Request Form: <a href=\"https:\/\/schools.graniteschools.org\/kearnsjr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/98\/2018\/06\/Birth-Certificate-app.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">English (PDF)<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/schools.graniteschools.org\/kearnsjr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/98\/2018\/06\/Birth-Certificate-Spanish-app.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spanish (PDF)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Immunization Records &#8211; Current immunization record\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Students will not be allowed to attend Kearns Junior without current immunizations.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Checkout form from the Previous School &#8211; (not required if enrolling before the start of the current school year).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use the navigation buttons at the bottom of the page to proceed through the registration process.
