About Milton Collins
This is my 39th year serving in public education. I spent 9 years teaching 3rd grade and Physical Education. I am in my 29th year as a principal. My teaching experience started at Lorenzo Smith School in Hopkins Park, Illinois in 1987 to 1993. I moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1993 where I taught P.E until becoming an administrator in 1996. I then relocated to Arizona in 2007 where I became Principal at Coolidge High School in Coolidge, Arizona. In 2011 I became Principal at Dos Rios Elementary School in Tolleson, Arizona. In 2017 I relocated to Salt Lake City to become Principal at Lincoln Elementary School.
I was born and raised in Charleston, Mississippi by a single mom who passed away in 2023. She was my hero and role model. I attended Rust College (second oldest HBCU in Mississippi) on a four-year scholarship to play basketball. I received my master’s degree from National-Louis University in Evanston, Illinois.
I have three beautiful children: Marquita, Alexis and Milton Jr and two beautiful granddaughters: Makenzie and Jaylynn.

Bus Information
Track Your Bus from Your Smartphone
If you’re interested in obtaining a bus schedule, you need to contact the school or by using the Here Comes The Bus application.

Parents and students can now track their Granite School District bus on the Here Comes the Bus app, available on The App Store and Google Play.
This app shows the real-time location of your bus on a map, gives scheduled and actual arrival times for both home and school routes, and provides push and email notifications when the bus is near.
Here’s how to sign up:
- Download the Here Comes the Bus app from The App Store or Google Play.
- Tap Sign Up, then tap Continue.
- Tap I have the Code.
- Enter your email address, first name, last name, and school district code (29318). Accept the Terms and Conditions and tap Continue.
- Tap Confirm if Granite School District is displayed.
- Create your password.
- If successful, you will see a Thank You screen. From here, check your email inbox for a message from noreply@synovia.com. Open the email and click Activate My Account. Once completed, close the browser link. You may now open the app and sign in with your email address and newly created password.
Adding a Student:
- Once you’re signed in, tap the Student icon.
- Tap the Add Student button and enter their last name and student ID. Tap Submit.
- Repeat this process for additional students.
