There are so many amazing things happening at Mill Creek. We decided to add one more! Mill Creek Elementary is excited to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of the Granite School District Transformational Technology Initiative Grant.
The grant will bring in 1:1 devices for all students and teachers, provide ongoing training for all staff, increased technology specialist presence in the classroom, and align instructional goals around a collaborative staff-wide system for increased student learning.
The grant is based on research and principles from Project Red, which you can read more about here.
You may have received a post card in the mail*, but if not, please take note that the last day of school for grades 1-6 is May 23rd. The last day for Kindergarten is May 22. Information about events that week will be forthcoming.
*All Granite schools had a snow day on February 6 due to extreme weather conditions. The Emergency Closure Make-Up Day was scheduled for May 24. Rather than adding an extra day of classes, however, the Granite Board of Education voted to use that day as a legislative professional development day for teachers and administrators.
