Q: When can we come to pick-up a Chromebook?
A: We will start checking out Chromebooks from the front office on Tuesday, March 17 at 12:30 pm (noon)- 3:30 pm. We will resume checking out Chomebooks on Wednesday, March 18 at 8:30 am-3:30 pm. If you can’t make it on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday, please call the office at 385-646-4924 to set up a time to get a Chromebook
Q: Do we need a Chromebook or will the computer we have at home work?
A: Any computer/device with internet access and a keyboard will work fine.
Q: How and when will we (parents and care givers) be contacted about the online platform my student will use starting on Wednesday?
A: Teachers will be reaching out to the their classroom parents Monday or Tuesday with information about where to find classroom instruction. Teachers may be using their websites, Google Classroom, and various other online tools to provide instruction and activities. A paper version of all classroom instruction/activities will be provided for students who don’t have internet access in the home.
Q: We don’t have internet access in our home, how will my child complete their coursework?
A: A paper version of all classroom instruction/activities will be provided for students who don’t have internet access in the home. Teachers will reach out with information on when paper materials will be available for pick-up.
Q: Are any before or after school activities still happening as planned?
A: No before school activities (Spanish, chess, band, orchestra) or after school activities (Robot Mommy, Millcreek ski school, service club) will take place.
Q: When and where is lunch being offered?
A: Lunch will be offered from 11:30-1:00 each school day at the front of the school. Lunch will not be offered over Spring Break days (March 19, 20, and 23).
Q: How long will our school be in a soft dismissal?
A: As of 3/16/20 the soft dismissal will extend through March 27, with school resuming on March 30. We will update you if this timeline changes.
