Yesterday you received an email from Granite School District with an attachment for you to fill out and return to me with your choice for how your child will attend school in the fall, distance, or face to face. Many of you emailed me with concerns that the commitment form was due before the School Assurances were posted and sent out, I have also received many emails with questions surrounding what distancing learning will look like, who is teaching the distance learning, and what our cleaning and distancing procedures will look like this fall. These are all wonderful questions that are still being sorted out. With that in mind, I am moving forward some dates. I will have the School Assurances information (cleaning and distancing procedures) to you on Wednesday, July 29thby 5:00 p.m. I will also be sending you information on what our distancing learning will look like by July 29th.
If your child has an IEP (Individualized Education Plan) and you have questions about what their services will look like through distance learning, please contact Kim Weston kweston1@graniteschools.org for Special Education IEPs and Bridgette Higgins bhiggins@graniteschools.org for Speech IEPs. Please know that they are off contract right now and it may take them a little longer to get back to you.
When you have completed your commitment form, please return it to me at areese@graniteschools.org by August 6th or you can drop your form off at the school after July 27th when the main office is back open. If you have not received the attachment from Granite School District, you can find it here in English and in Spanish.
I know this is a stressful time and we are asking you to make some big decisions- we are right here with you.
Thank you,
Anne
