Research shows that the integration of the arts with reading instruction directly increases student learning. We will have dance instruction for all grades K-5. Dance teachers will work with classroom teachers on upcoming topics of ELA instruction and incorporate those lessons into the lessons of movement. Students will attend dance for half of the year, once a week. 3. The culmination of the program will be a fieldtrip to see the Tanner Dance annual performance at Capitol Theater. 4. We are going to provide extra PLC time with PLC assistants to cover classes so teachers can meet together to support student learning through collaboration. 5.
