Yesterday was the kickoff of our school fundraiser! After a fun-filled assembly, each student received an envelope with fundraising information. We receive 45% of the proceeds. We use these funds to pay our Visual Arts teacher – Sabrina Theodore, Dance Teachers – side by side teaching for our kindergarten through 4th grade students, and our Music Specialist – Joann Meitler. The total amount needed to keep these programs at Oakridge is approximately $35,000 a year.
We appreciate your willingness to participate in this fundraiser. If you prefer not to participate in the fundraiser, you are welcome to make a donation to the school. Students may turn in an envelope to the office with their name, their teacher’s name, and the exact amount of $15 or multiples of $15. Students bringing in donations will get to participate in the prizes (ask your child about the frogs) and their class will get credited toward earning a root beer float party.
