Dear Oakridge Families,
We have had a fantastic start to the 2018-2019 school year! I am excited to have our kindergarten students join us on Friday so we become a whole school once again.
Earlier today, we held our annual Oakridge Olympians Opening Assembly. We learned about how to be our best Olympian self and focused on:
- How Olympians share their talents
- What Olympians wear
- How Olympians act
- What happens when students choose to act like an Olympian (rewards)
- What happens when students choose not to act like an Olympian (consequences)
- How Olympians are safe
Ask your children to tell you about being an Olympian (and have them tell you what KYHFOOTY stands for).
Oakridge has an amazing staff of knowledgeable, caring, and dedicated individuals focused on doing what is best for students. Our students showed great learning and growth last school year; we look forward to implementing additional ways for students to demonstrate their knowledge as our school shifts to proficiency-based grading.
Thank you for supporting our school. It is a pleasure to work with you and your children. I truly believe I have the best job! This is going to be a wonderful year.
