It was built in 1962 to serve the students east of Wasatch Boulevard in the Olympus Cove area. The school has 21 teaching stations.\u00a0 Oakridge has a focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) initiatives and currently has a visual arts specialist.\u00a0 A visual arts specialist integrates the arts into core curriculum.\u00a0 The philosophy at Oakridge is to provide a well-rounded, enriched curriculum to help students reach their highest potential. Oakridge test scores are among the highest in the state of Utah and across the nation.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Enrollment <\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Oakridge Elementary serves approximately 250 students from kindergarten through fifth grade.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Computers and Technology<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Oakridge classrooms all have their own Chromebook carts providing one-to-one devices for each student. Technology equipment, coding robots, and various STEAM equipment is available to teachers.\u00a0 All classrooms have interactive Boxlight boards to engage students in their learning.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Student Promotion<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Students promoted from Oakridge attend Churchill Junior High and Skyline High School.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>School Background Oakridge Elementary is located in the east area of Granite School District.
