I am married and the proud parent of four adult children. Before beginning my career in education, I served in the United States Marine Corps and later worked with the United States Border Patrol on the U.S.\u2013Mexico border, where I participated in search and rescue operations.<\/p>\r\n

I love spending time outdoors and can often be found cycling, hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, or canyoneering in Utah's beautiful landscapes. I am also passionate about STEM education and have enjoyed serving as an elementary robotics coach.<\/p>\r\nMy favorite thing about Oakwood Elementary is the incredible faculty and students. Their dedication, kindness, and enthusiasm for learning make Oakwood a wonderful place to be every day.\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\tI am so happy to be teaching at Oakwood Elementary! I love to be at school with the students, it is one of my favorite places. My favorite subject to teach is math, especially multiplication and division. I also like to teach fractions. My interests outside of school are baking, playing golf with my family, and photography. I am so grateful to be part of the Oakwood community! Since 2022, I have worked as a Special Education Resource teacher, and I love supporting students as they learn, grow, and achieve their goals.<\/p>\r\n

When I\u2019m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and my puppy, traveling with my husband, and taking Pilates classes. Whether I\u2019m exploring a new destination or enjoying a quiet day at home, I value the time I spend with the people I love most.<\/p>\r\nMy favorite thing about Oakwood is the welcoming staff, students, and families. Since 2016, I have taught in Utah\u2019s Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program, helping students develop language skills and cultural understanding.
