\n\t\t\t\tI have been teaching for 15 years! All of those years have been with K-8 students who need extra social emotional learning needs (SEL). I love teaching here at Oakwood in the lower grade SEL unit. Little kids are my favorite to teach. We have so much fun reading, doing math, art, working on speech, occupational therapy, and learning to live and play with friends.\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I am a Kindergarten teacher and love helping our youngest learners begin their educational journey. Kindergarten is such a special year because students learn and grow so much in a short amount of time. I am continually amazed by their curiosity, honesty, and determination, and I feel proud of all they accomplish each year.<\/p>\r\n

My husband, Thad, and I have two daughters, Lila and Cecilia, who also attend Oakwood. We feel very fortunate to be part of such a wonderful school community close to home. Before becoming a Kindergarten teacher, I worked as a Kindergarten paraeducator, substituted in preschool classrooms, and taught summer camps for school-age children.<\/p>\r\n

Outside of school, I enjoy staying active through running, hiking, yoga, golf, dance, and swimming with my kids. Our family also loves bowling, exploring new places, and creating fun memories together. During school breaks and summer, my daughters and I enjoy going on adventures and discovering new experiences. We also share our home with our cat, Buttons, and our dog, Mae.<\/p>\r\nMy favorite thing about Oakwood is the incredible community. The families, students, and staff create such a positive and supportive environment where everyone looks out for one another. I also appreciate how dedicated our teachers are and how hard they work to help every student learn, grow, and succeed.\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I am so grateful to be part of the Oakwood community! Since 2022, I have worked as a Special Education Resource teacher, and I love supporting students as they learn, grow, and achieve their goals.<\/p>\r\n

When I\u2019m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and my puppy, traveling with my husband, and taking Pilates classes. Whether I\u2019m exploring a new destination or enjoying a quiet day at home, I value the time I spend with the people I love most.<\/p>\r\nMy favorite thing about Oakwood is the welcoming staff, students, and families. The strong sense of community and support makes Oakwood a wonderful place to work, and I am proud to be an Owl!\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
