I am married and the proud parent of four adult children. Before beginning my career in education, I served in the United States Marine Corps and later worked with the United States Border Patrol on the U.S.\u2013Mexico border, where I participated in search and rescue operations.<\/p>\r\n

I love spending time outdoors and can often be found cycling, hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, or canyoneering in Utah's beautiful landscapes. I am also passionate about STEM education and have enjoyed serving as an elementary robotics coach.<\/p>\r\nMy favorite thing about Oakwood Elementary is the incredible faculty and students. Their dedication, kindness, and enthusiasm for learning make Oakwood a wonderful place to be every day.\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\tI grew up in this community and I attended Oakwood, Bonneville and Cottonwood! I married my wonderful husband, Matt, in 2008 and together we have two amazing daughters, Madi and Harper. They also attended Oakwood. Our family loves to travel together. We have been to some very fun places and we loved learning about new places and trying new foods. I've been a teacher since 2008. I am so grateful to be part of the Oakwood community! Since 2022, I have worked as a Special Education Resource teacher, and I love supporting students as they learn, grow, and achieve their goals.<\/p>\r\n

When I\u2019m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and my puppy, traveling with my husband, and taking Pilates classes. Whether I\u2019m exploring a new destination or enjoying a quiet day at home, I value the time I spend with the people I love most.<\/p>\r\nMy favorite thing about Oakwood is the welcoming staff, students, and families. \n\t\t\t\tThis is my seventh year at Oakwood. I have taught 5th grade during my time here. I love teaching this age group. I have 4 kids, one daughter and three sons. Two of my children are currently serving LDS missions. My daughter is serving in the Warsaw, Poland mission, and my son is serving in Puebla, Mexico.
