The mission of Career and Technical Education is to help students discover educational purpose, personal potential and a pathway to their future. CTE provides students with technical training to prepare for a successful career. CTE areas of study include: Agriculture, Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship, Family and Consumer Sciences, Health Science, Information Technology, Marketing, Skilled and Technical Sciences, Technology and Engineering.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

W<\/strong>hat are CTE Pathways?<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

CTE Pathways show students a direct connection between doing well in high school and being able to transition smoothly to post-secondary opportunities or getting a good job when they graduate. Students who focus on a Career Pathway acquire the skills necessary for entry into well-paid careers with high potential for rapid financial growth, increased levels of responsibility, and a high degree of personal satisfaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Utah Career Pathways<\/a> align with and are categorized by the national Career Clusters\u00ae. Each Career Pathway culminates in an industry recognized credential of value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students may complete a pathway to receive a completer certificate and a bronze cord to wear at graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
