A gifted singer\/songwriter, Sophie was already making an impact by volunteering at Primary Children&#8217;s Hospital, where she lifted the spirits of young patients through music. Sophie&#8217;s light illuminated everything around her, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. Her legacy continues through Sophie&#8217;s Place, special music therapy rooms dedicated to healing children though music in hospitals nationwide. The Barton family honors scholarship recipients who exemplify Sophie&#8217;s example of giving service and the sharing of talents.
