\n\t\t\t\tHi, I\u2019m Jessie and saying I love to dance is the understatement of the century. I have been dancing since I was in diapers and have been teaching dance for over 20 years. I am a former US-UK Fulbright Scholar with an MA in Dance Studies from University of Roehampton, London and a BS in Dance Performance from Southern Utah University. In my younger years, I danced professionally with Holland America and Carnival Cruise Lines traveling all over the world. Prior to joining the faculty at Olympus, I spent 11 years teaching dance at The Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts where I also served as the assistant department director of dance, resident musical choreographer, musical administrative director, and shadow day coordinator. During my time there, I developing a jazz based dance curriculum for the high school level, publishing sections of my work in\u00a0Rooted Jazz Dance: Africanist Aesthetics and Equity in the Twenty-First\u00a0<\/i>Century in 2022. I am certified as Giordano Jazz instructor (\u00aeNGCP), yoga instructor, and party planner \ud83d\ude42 When I\u2019m not dancing I am hanging with my fantastic family, visiting coffee shops, and listening to cultural history podcasts. I am so excited to be on the Performing Arts Faculty at OHS and to serve as the director of the dance companies.\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\tIn 2012, Mr. Miller received a BFA in Art Teaching and a Minor in Arts Technology from the University of Utah. He earned a Masters in Learning & Technology from Western Governors University in 2019. He started teaching at Olympus High School right after graduating from the U in 2012, teaching Drawing and Film Making. He now teaches Photography, Video Production and TV Broadcast. \n\t\t\t\tMr. Taylor is a Utah based actor, director, and educator. He graduated with his bachelors in Theatre Arts Education K-12 and a minor in Psychology. He\u00a0has loved performing since the age of 8 and has been involved in over 40 productions, both on stage and behind the scenes, in educational settings and within the community.\u00a0Some notable productions he has done are\u00a0Shrek The Musical<\/i>,\u00a0The Secret Garden, Hattie's Echo, Back to the 80's, Lucky Stiff, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, Into the Woods, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat<\/i>, and so many more. Besides performing, he enjoys hiking, swimming, traveling around the world, hammocking, movies, and trying new food.
