CHANGE FOR CHILDREN
OJH Change for Children Holiday Fundraiser runs from December 2 – December 13. Parents and students – please donate to help children in need in the Granite School District. These donations will be used to help these students have a happy holiday this year. Donations can be turned in at the main office or you donate online through Focus on the student’s account or the community store link
This is a schoolwide fundraiser and there will be rewards for the entire school if we reach the following donation levels: $1,000 Students can use cell phones during lunch on Friday, Dec. 6 $2,000 Students can wear any hat to school and use cell phones during lunch on Dec.13 $3,000 Holiday dress-up day and donuts during lunch on either Dec. 18, OR Dec. 20 $4,000 Teachers/Staff vs. Students basketball game – held during 3rd quarter $5,000 Classic skating field trip – held during 3rd quarter

LOST AND FOUND
Missing a coat, water bottle or hoodie? Be sure to check the lost and found, it is currently brimming full of items. It will be cleaned out and donated to Goodwill after December 20th.
STUDENT COMPUTER ACCESS WHILE TRAVELING?
If you will be traveling outside the state of Utah during this holiday season and your student will be using any school issued accounts, you will need to turn in a request for a Travel Exemption. These must be turned in at least 48 hours prior to your travel and 48 hours prior to any school vacation. This will help to avoid any locked accounts.

We will need the following information: Dates of Travel, Location of Travel, Student Full Name and Student Number
OPEN ENROLLMENT
The Open Enrollment window is open Nov. 15 till Feb. 7 @ 3pm. The process for this is on-line. The link to Open Enrollment form: https://www.graniteschools.org/psp/open-enrollment/
Please let your friends and neighbors know as this date has changed and we would love to have more of your friends and neighbors come to our school next year. Remember that if you have an 8th grade student on an open enrollment permit, you will need to apply again for Olympus High School. We will start notifying of acceptance into Olympus Jr. on Dec. 13th.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL COACH NEEDED
Olympus Jr. High is looking for a girls volleyball coach. The season begins in January and lasts around 6 weeks. There is a stipend for the coach. If you, or know someone that might be interested, please respond to this email and we’ll answer any questions you may have.
COUNSELING CENTER:
8th Grade parents, 8th Grade parents, please sign up for a College and Career Readiness Plan meeting with your student’s counselor. We’ve opened more appointments in December, so if you haven’t had a chance to meet, please sign up. Before your appointment, please take a minute to read the presentation given to the students (found at this link, along with a link to make an appointment).
