Dear Parents and Students,

PERFECT ATTENDANCE GOAL & REWARD

Students with perfect attendance April 20^th-May 8^th will be invited to a root beer float party on May 11^th during advisory.  If students must be checked out for appointments, please get a doctor’s note as medical excuses won’t count against their attendance.  Please help support us in encouraging students to come to school and stay in school all day during the next three weeks! 

RISE ASSESSMENT DATES

Here are the dates for the RISE assessment. Please make doctor and dental appointments at different times if at all possible. 

Math- All grades- 5/5, 5/6, 8am-10:30am

PTSA—8^th GRADE PARTY

The PTSA is looking for some assistance with the 8^th grade party on May 27.  Please see attachment for more info and to signup to help. 

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK: 

The PTSA is trying to stock the Teacher” lounge next week. Click this link to donate and contribute. 

The PTSA would love to have the students involved with Teacher Appreciation Week. Here are the following daily challenges to encourage your students to show their appreciation: 

Monday – “Say It Out Loud” Day

Challenge:

Give at least 3 genuine compliments to teachers or staff.

Tuesday – “Thank You Note” Day

Challenge:

Write a short handwritten note to a teacher or staff member.

Wednesday – “Help Without Being Asked” Day

Challenge:

Do one helpful act for a teacher or staff member.

Thursday – “Shout-Out” Day

Challenge:

Give a public (but appropriate) shout-out.

Friday – “Make Them Smile” Day

Challenge:

Do something small to make a teacher/staff member smile.

5/20—Awards Night—6^th and 7^th 6pm, 8^th grade 7pm

5/25—No School—Memorial Day

5/27—8^th grade Party—1:15-2:45pm (8^th grade Yearbooks)

5/28—Yearbooks handed out

5/29—Last Day of School -Year end Carnival—School out @ 12:05pm
