We are so happy to have you join our great school!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is considered a new student<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To be considered a new student one of the following must be true:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You are new to Granite School District<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are new to the boundary of Olympus Junior High School<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are a new student from outside of Utah<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is not a new student<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A new student is NOT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A 5th grade student coming from Crestview, Howard R. Driggs, or Cottonwood Elementary school. Please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/olympusjrcounseling.weebly.com\/6th-grade-registration.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">6th grade registration page<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A student who attended Olympus Jr. High last year or this year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to register a new student<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To register a new student at Olympus Junior High, please do the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.graniteschools.org\/SchoolSearch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">School Search Map<\/a> to verify that your address is within our school boundary. If you do not live in the boundary, you must fill out an open enrollment application. More information is found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.graniteschools.org\/psp\/open-enrollment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">open enrollment page<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start the process by logging in or creating an account with the Granite School District <a href=\"https:\/\/portalaccount.graniteschools.org\/FocusAccountRegistration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Parent Portal<\/a>. Then complete the rest of the process through <a href=\"https:\/\/graniteschools.focusschoolsoftware.com\/focus\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Focus<\/a> or download the Granite Schools Community App. Download the <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1-yY6jzrAHYZLW45ge3ydmCR4-Hx298xy\/view\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">step-by-step Parent Portal registration guide (PDF)<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please call our registrar, Ms. Birrell, at <a href=\"tel:385-646-3601\">385-646-3601<\/a>, to set up an appointment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For your appointment, you will need to provide physical copies of the following documents:\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Student&#8217;s birth certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Up-to-date immunization record<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proof of address with legal parent\/guardian&#8217;s name (i.e., lease agreement, bank statement, utility bill, mortgage bill)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Name and address of previous school<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any documentation from previous school including 504 or IEP if applicable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1hvqdDuFKDb_zHCGHqGq2xgsrYx66hAkD\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Completed registration form (PDF)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once a student is registered as a student at Olympus Junior High, they will select classes and their counselor will create a schedule for the student.
