The Boys and Girls Clubs of South Valley partner with Oquirrh Hills Elementary to provide afterschool programming for our students. Members of the Boys & Girls Club receive dinner, as well as homework help and enrichment activities. The Boys & Girls Club also partners with our 21st Century Community Learning Center to provide tutoring opportunities for students in need of additional support. We are very excited to begin a new year! We have a wonderful staff this year and lots of great new programs planned. One program we’re especially excited for is our S.O.S. (Save our Students) Club! This is an opportunity for your child to prove to themselves that they can excel. We provide an activity every Friday that allows for your child to make up any missing assignments during the week. This also provides an opportunity for your child to make up any missing assignments during the week. This also provides an opportunity for your child to get extra tutoring on a subject, should they need it. We will be sending home a notice whenever your child participates, so that together we can keep your student on track.
We want to let you know that Club dues ($10.00 for the school year), are due by October 14th. If you have already paid, thank you very much!
We have an exciting event coming up which is our bake sale. This will take place during the annual Oquirrh Hills Carnival night on October 29th. We will be selling home baked good as a fundraiser for our Boys & Girls Club. Thank you so much for enrolling your child into our Club. We strive to do all we can to help your children become productive, caring citizens of our wonderful community. Have a great year!
