School Support Groups:
PTA supports many volunteer programs for our school and provides an opportunity for parents to be involved with the school.
Oquirrh Hills Community School is part of the Promise Kearns partnership. Several non-profits such as United Way of Salt Lake, Utah Partners for Health, Community Nursing Services, English Skills Learning Center and many others have made a promise to provide their services to our students and families, free of charge at the convenience of our own school. This is a wonderful opportunity for our families as this provides a web of support for the entire family to integrate education, health programs and services, language and job skills classes and our after school program for our students. Many free services include dental screenings and sealants, the mobile health clinic, vaccinations and flu shots, English language and citizenship classes, tax preparation, vision screenings and glasses and health insurance assistance. Check with the office for more information about any of these free services.
Boys & Girls’ Club/21st Century Grant supports our after school and summer programs which include enrichment classes and fun activities that encourage student learning. If you would like to enroll your student in this program, registration packets will be available and staff will be on site to answer any questions.
