Orchard Families
Our Halloween parade will occur on Tuesday, October 31, at 9:00 a.m. The parade will be held outside. The drop-off lane will be blocked off at 8:45 a.m. for an hour so the students can walk through safely. Parade watchers will be sitting on the grass or in the driveway, so plan to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
Please remember because the parade is taking place outside, you will want to make sure that you and your child are dressed for the weather. (In the event of rainy or snowy weather, the parade will be canceled.) Students should come to school wearing their costumes and ready for the parade. Also, remember that no masks or weapons (real or pretend) are allowed for students or parents, and they should all adhere to the school dress code.
The weather is starting to get colder. Please remember to send your child(ren) to school with appropriate winter clothing as we approach the Winter season. Students will be outside when the weather feels like 25 degrees or higher. If the temperature is below that, they will stay inside. We also check the air quality to determine if students will go outside that day. You can find more information about that here:https://www.graniteschools.org/blog/2017/01/10/recess-and-air-quality-2/.
There are signs on the front door and grade level doors that will indicate if it will be an inside or outside day. If the sign says inside, students enter through the front doors and head to their classrooms.
